Joseph Nye: "Will China Pass the US by 2030?"

In a joint event with the Oxford Martin School we welcome one of the leading international relations scholars in the world, Joseph Nye.

Nye is currently the University Distinguished Service Professor at Harvard University and formerly the Dean of the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He introduced the concepts of “soft power” and “smart power" into the academic discourse. 

He has also served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, Chair of the National Intelligence Council, and Deputy Under Secretary of State for Security Assistance, Science and Technology.

The event will also see the launch of our journal SIR, on the theme "Visions: 2030." FREE copies will be available at the event.
