  • University of Oxford Oxford (map)

We are back! Join us for a fun evening of debate and drinks at Oxford International Relations Society's highly-anticipated social event Rum & Realpolitik!

Where: St Giles Church Hall, Parish Room (on Woodstock Rd, across from Idlewild)

When: May 3rd, 8:30pm - 10:30pm

Other Info:

- CASH PRICES: £5 entry for members, £9 for non-members

- Unlimited booze (subject to liver capacity)

- Various mixers of alcoholic (and non alcoholic) drinks

- 3 debate motions about the world today (see below)

What's not to love? Take it as seriously as you want to, meet like-minded students from across the University and share opinions and arguments with others from around the globe. Open to non-debaters as well. If you just want to bring your friends for a drink and a laugh, please do!

We operate on a first come first served basis and have limited capacity, so make sure you turn up early on the evening.

The motions:

1. This house believes that Neoliberalism does more harm than good.

2. This House believes that censorship in all forms is wrong.

3. This house believes that if we were to discover aliens, they ought to have the right to participate in global governance.

You bring the opinions, we’ll bring the rum!
