Throughout term we host events in Oxford that anyone can attend. Scheduled, upcoming events can be found here. Our term card, which is published just before each term, can be found here. Event entry typically costs £3 for non-members. Members receive free entry to all of our events. You can read more about buying a membership here

Write for us

The International Relations Society publishes a number of publications throughout the term that you can write for. 

We are always accepting submissions for our blog. Writing for our blog is a great initial way to get involved with our publications. Posts are around 500 words and can be on any topic relating to international relations.

Our journal, Lighthouse, is published once a term in 7th week. We accept pitches for Lighthouse articles starting in 0th week until the beginning of 2nd week. Articles are usually around 1,000 words and are centered around that issue's theme.

A great way to get involved is to listen to our podcast and subscribe to our daily news bulletin

Our podcast is published every Sunday and features interviews from experts on interesting themes from around the world. 

Our news bulletin is e-mailed to you each weekday morning and is an excellent way to stay up-to-date on what is happening in each region of the world. 

Join Us

At the end of each term we look for a new committee to make our events and our publications possible. Applications usually open in 7th week. Committee positions range from president to communications to podcast and Lighthouse editors.
